▪️Throwing my sports equipment back on the shelves after my two year old daughter decided to do a little exploration 😅
▪️second picture is todays 4k race pace and cadence. I averaged 4:22 and it felt a little easier than expected. I was able to sprint a decent 3:00 minute/km for the last 200m. ▪️Gonna assume this is my 5k pace and update my new threshold pace with a nice increase 👍🏼
“There will be days when you are not motivated, but the motivation comes AFTER you show up. Don’t start with the motivation, START WITH DOING”
I can’t tell you when the last time I ran a long run this late in the day was- I complained about it all morning but what got me out the door today was the reminder that the marathon doesn’t care if you are not motivated... it will chew you up and spit you out if you don’t train! 😅 Once I got out there I dialed it in and kicked this windy, cold, and hilly run’s butt! Exactly the run I needed for confidence going into the @phxmarathon half next Saturday! Bring it.. and maybe some less layers and warmer weather! 👊🏼
Saftey pins, check ✅ My first obilgitory race kit photo of 2018, for my first race of the year and my first Half Marathon eeeeks 😬💩 the Great North West Half Marathon in Blackpool tomorrow, i'm more bothered about the extreme weather this half marathon seems to get each year then I am the distance ⛈, but with @oxley85 and @flick.smith doing it with me I'm sure it will be great whatever the weather....even if we ended up swimming it 😂
Today’s long run crew! The mornings have been starting off so chilly in Sacramento (mid 30s) but it warms up fast, especially while running!
Today’s group broke off into a couple different pace/workout groups - some did a half marathon workout, others did a Boston specific workout, and others just logged the miles! Whatever you do, it’s great to be out there with a supportive group of women — and men (they just didn’t want to be in the picture 🤣😳)
