#MeToo , several times and AT WORK. As a #model first, then as a #TVhost & #journalist . It happened over and over again. I even #GotFired over making a complaint to #HR about it. The first time it happened was in #MexicoCity : a smartass #producer who #harassed me, under the excuse of getting me an interview with some #Televisa big-shots (which ended up being a huge LIE). I never allowed him anything, or insinuated he could do anything like it. It was so disgusting and humiliating! Another time was an idiot #Director in #Venezuela : I was minding my own business, walking down the hall and he pinned me against the wall. The nerve of that jerk! Ugh! Luckily, I’m pretty tall (he’s not) and I threw him off to the side and ran towards the security guard. I asked to have him fired or reprimanded: nothing happened. Something similar happened at a station in the #US : the VP of #Production tried to “get fresh” in one of the #GreenRooms and I pushed him off of me with all my strength. He had me fired. Another time, the hot-shot owner of a Venezuelan #network tried to corral me in the guest restroom of his mansion, during a Christmas party in #Miami , with his girlfriend sitting just a few feet away! That disgusting creep!!! Ugh!!! I pushed, screamed and kicked my way out (with loud music drowning everything out), and left the party. Oh, but the WORST was a FEMALE #GeneralManager of one #TVstations I’ve worked for, who expected me to “use my female charms” (asking me to wear cleavage and short skirts, which I refused) to convince advertisers to buy airtime on our station; and I was the station’s News Anchor, for crying out loud! Talk about conflicts of interests and blatant humiliation! She also had me #fired for not complying with company policy (whatever that means: I’m sure that does NOT construe company policy, as she was later fired for all the stuff she did misrepresenting the company). Anyway... #YoTambien and #ItNeedsToSTOP 🛑 How about some #RESPECT ?????
