Seeing @leontbk last Friday reminded me that I have yet to post this up! Antz is a yummy rum-based cocktail, and as the name suggests, comes with ants. One can’t help but go “ooohhh” when presented with the drink.
I very hastily took a couple of snaps, and under Leon’s instruction, very quickly stuffed the flash-frozen basil leaf and all its occupants into my mouth. The whole point is to eat all that while it is still frozen, to get the most out of the refreshing crunch.
And what fun it was! The burst of herbal flavours, the crunch of the ants and meringue, the rush of cold. It was a perfect amuse bouche to the creamier cocktail.
