I love mixed beds. They are colorful, plants protect each other and you can get bigger harvest from one bed, if you make a good plan. Some plants will grow fast and will be eaten fast, some will grow slooooowly and stay all season. Plus if soil will be covered well, you will water less 😉
So here is example 🌿
Two types of local salads. One grows very fast and will be eaten by the time other type will take all space.
Next is cabbage. You see how it is small on picture 🌱. We will eat all plants around it, by the time it will be ready.
Row of onion, two rows of carrot and again onion. Super couple against pests.
Two rows of beta. It grows all season, so I have it at the end of bed.
After all salads, carrots and onion will be eaten you can still grow radish and autumn salads for example.
👆 Yes those fluffy small plants everywhere are not weeds. It is dill. It spreded around all garden so I do not have to plant it anymore. It takes care about itself 😀
