Novel berikutnya, "Child of God", diterbitkan tahun 1973.
"No Country for Old Men" diterbitkan tahun 2005, dan di tahun berikutnya, sebuah novel dramatis yang ditulisnya, "The Sunset Limited", terbit.
“Words matter, in fact. They're not pointless, as you've suggested. If they were pointless, then they couldn't start revolutions and they wouldn't change history. If they were just words, we wouldn't write songs or listen to them. We wouldn't beg to be read to as kids. If they were just words, then stories wouldn't have been around since before we could write. We wouldn't have learned to write. If they were just words, people wouldn't fall in love because of them, feel bad because of them, ache because of them, and stop aching because of them."
Words in Deep Blue is a wonderful YA contemporary read. It’s the story of a girl who suffers an incredible loss and moves back to her hometown and is reunited with her childhood best friend who she was in love with. Oh the drama! Oh the feels! There is a lot of talk of reading, books, words, and stories in this tale so it’s perfect for all you bookstagram folks. If you are a sucker for a good YA contemporary with quality characters this is a must read. On thing that stood out to me in this story is the main dude was frustratingly stupid at times which is actually refreshing since most YA books tend to have super dreamy and too perfect love interests.
