As it begins to get cooler outside, spiders and other insects want inside. If it seems like you’re seeing more of them during the Fall and Winter months, it’s not just in your head.
See more spiders is not only because of the change in temperature, it’s also because this time of year is their mating season. Spiders search for a mate during the colder months or they might be looking for a warm place to lay eggs. (Yuck!) If you would like to rid your outdoor and indoor environments of them, essential oils are a great way to replace toxic bug sprays.

D.I.Y Bug Bite Relief
When pests like mosquitos attack, they draw a tiny amount of blood while simultaneously injecting some of their own saliva into your skin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This foreign substance causes your body to release histamine as an immunity defence, which can result in itchiness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Luckily, if you find yourself up all night scratching, essential oils can help provide some relief.
This simple DIY combines the powerful soothing properties of Lavender with the cooling impact of Peppermint. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Together, these oils help alleviate skin irritation and put your mind at ease.

10 drops Peppermint EO

One of our favorite uses for our all-natural bug spray is on our house plants to keep the pests at bay. Currently, I’m doing the #januarywhole30 challenge and (attempting) to grow an indoor herb garden to make my challenge a little more fun. I feel good that I know I’m using something all natural on my herbs to repel those pesky pests and the fact that the it makes my house smell divine is an added bonus! Do you have any tips you’d like to share? Leave a comment or send us a message telling us your favorite uses!

Are your mental and physical locations the same?
Well seeing as I am not currently surrounded by sand and blue water, eating dulce de coco, and jamming to merengue, I'll have to say that my mind and body aren't on the same page...
