We jellyfish don't fear the depths. We don't easily succumb to pressure. It is believed that some of us even descend as far as 10,000 meters -- almost to the bottom of the deepest place on earth, the Mariana Trench.
Down in the implacable darkness, where only microbes, amphipods and cucumbers dare to tread, we behold a beauty that eyes cannot perceive. There is a sacred despair, where 'alone' takes on new meaning, and the self -- no matter how painfully recognized -- can't be ignored. Your innermost horror can't be unseen.
Amidst the bubbling mud volcanoes and the unfathomable pressure, survival isn't guaranteed or even likely for most. And yet, sometimes it's necessary to descend to new lows to finally reach the surface and truly appreciate the light of day again.
This week, enter the subduction zone, as we plumb the depths of the Mariana Trench with Cesium Swimsuit & Belial Pelegrim. #cesiumswimsuit#belialpelegrim#marianatrench#electronicmusic#ambient#atmospheric#downtempo#triphop#psychedelic#synth#psybient#darkambient#synthmusic#chillout#subduction#jellyfish#music
