As I sit at my workspace, looking out across our street, that is currently dowsed in stunning Autumn light, I contemplate where I have been over the past few months, and where I am going, as the wedding season draws to a close for me. Photographically, the past few months have been filled to the brim with discovery and revelation, that have filled my heart to almost bursting point.
Discovering and working with film has enriched my life in so many ways; gone are the countless hours sat at the computer editing, which affords me the freedom to spend quality time with my loved ones, and quality time injecting more energy into my art. My creativity has grown too; it’s taken on a new lease of life, and through the beauty of film, I am able to get closer to where I want to be.
My photography is elegant and filled with luminosity, but above all, feels so very natural now, leaving me feeling much more fulfilled. It’s new beginnings for me, and an exciting few months ahead, with another trip planned for France accompanied by my cameras and copious amounts of film. ___________________________________________________

I've shunted my things (laptop, toast, big glass of water, notepad etc.) into the sitting room for a change of scenery today. The light is always so very pretty this time of year, and as it wangles its way to this side of our home [West facing] it seeps through the leaves on the trees, and creates pretty dancing reflections on the walls, [captivating]. I’m up against a self-imposed deadline to submit to a magazine ['She is Light' - Style Me Pretty] the only commitment I’ve tasked myself, apart from the usual domestic rhythm of everyday life, but after an insanely early wake up this morning, and the inability to get back to the land of nod [despite shuffling to the deeper depths of the duvet], I feel I may need to yield all attempts until this evening! As the room temperature continues to rise, my body beckons an afternoon nap [quite a rarity/eyes feeling heavy]. #canyoublameme#pleasesendbrownies#deadlinetoday#eyelidsfeelingheavyg
Been a busy Bumble.B [productive] today! Since my weary post, two days past, managed to get myself some satisfyingly long and deep slumber over the past two nights [feeling refreshed - sleeves rolled up for action]. Incredible what a good night sleep can do for one’s motivation levels!
With husband away on business again over the next couple of days [Manchester v London for a change] I decided to ‘make camp’ in my sloggies on the sofa in the sitting room again after thoroughly loving the change of scenery the other day [catch up if you missed it: post 20 Sep]. On for today was: create and complete marketing brochure as part of a plan that has been hatched with a fellow artisan that should involve working overseas [putting to good use available time since ‘silly season’ is over for me], buy eggs, milk, olives, exercise [failed miserably], check Air France baggage allowance for flight to Paris in 3 weeks time.
