Not the usual transformation but more a little lesson: looking back at my broken arm and surgery I actually feel this was such a positive experience. Despite the agony of operation, stress and restriction it has caused me. I value my experience as it taught me a few things which I thought I would share as they may make you feel lucky as I do.
1. How important and amazing my friends and family are. They dropped everything for me. If you have people like that in your life hang on to them TIGHT
2. How amazing my body is. Sounds vein but I don’t mean it like that. I don’t value my body for how it looks so much now, I value it for how it gets me from a-b, how it mends itself everyday and how lucky I am to be functioning for life. Not everyone is so lucky to recover from an accident.
3. It’s ok not to workout, I stressed massively as I couldn’t workout for about 4 weeks before my wedding. So I worried I would gain weight but It taught me that having a few weeks off training doesn’t kill you it gives you new challenges to go back to and if anything did me the world of good and a brand new perspective in the gym as I had to switch up my routine massively
