Fantastic runs of Paradise Lodge today...
If you can catch it then please do....
Not only is it beautifully acted, it’s a humorous, heart warming and at times heart breaking, exploration of the world of dementia and those that suffer at the hands of it ~ we toured just before Xmas to sold out audiences & standing ovations ~ You can catch it on our home turf this coming Friday 19th January. Tickets online: www.TheTheatreSpace.co.uk
Nearing the release of my book On 31st January I thought I’d share some of my favourite pubs along with some of their extensive history. Who now needs a drink? 😁👋🏻🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻 THE KINGS HEAD: Borough • Practically the whole of the buildings in King’s Head Yard and the houses on either side of it were destroyed by the German bombers in 1940. • The King’s Head was previously named The Pope’s
Head before the Reformation, and it is clearly marked on maps in the 16th century.
At the start of Elizabeth I’s reign it belonged to Thomas Cure, the founder of Cure’s College, and later passed to the family of Humbles. • The King’s Head was burnt down in the Borough fire of 1676. But part of the new building erected after the fire survived until 1885
