TO BE DESTROYED 01/17/18 –
2 YEARS OLD....ALREADY SPAYED.....OWNER SURRENDER.... ( NYCHA BAN ).......CAME IN 13 DAYS AGO.....
LYRIC is just a youngster who is full of joy and exuberance, but now she is sick in ISO at the Manhattan Center, and so she is at RISK CIRDC..Kennel cough... She is so innocent, and her eyes always sparkle with happiness when she sees her #favorite volunteers. Very friendly, social, and #playful , she never guards her toys but may like to be left alone when eating her dinner. She lived happily with young children who were never taught by their parents that you don’t pull your puppy’s ears, and was extremely tolerant of this behavior. We all know that is simply NOT done, and so we recommend that parents teach their kids to #respect their pups. But Lyric is a gem, very forgiving and sweet. She got an experienced home rating and is #dreaming of a new family to love.
Lyric is beautiful in her well #groomed shiny striped coat, sitting straight like an I right behind her door. Although her former owner says that she runs away from strangers, #Lyric accepts easily my leash, a scarf and a coat as well as a caress on her head. She pulls quite a bit during our stroll and does her business in the street. She is exciting seeing other #dogs and clearly would like to meet. Our #playgroups with her peers are definitively to her liking. Lyric will sit for a treat ...only. .Lyric has lived happily with young children and even allowed them to...pull her ears(an absolute nono), never mingled with #dogs and yet we discovered that she seems to like them very much.

Hello, my name is IVY 🌺
My animal id is #18066
I am a female brown dog at the #Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about #2years old.
I came in as a #stray on 11-Jan-2018.
AT RISK - Ivy is a very #anxious dog, and possible potential of #defensive aggression 😩
Ivy lived with RECENT OWNER for about 2 WEEKS😢‼️ Ivy lived with her FIRST OWNER for almost 5YEARS 😊but was GIVEN AWAY due to her medical issues💔. Ivy was surrendered because she snapped at one of the owner’s sons and the OWNER IS AFRAID she may bite🤭. Ivy was bleeding from a cut in her mouth when surrendered but has no other injuries or health problems. Ivy has not seen a vet recently. Previously lived with:: 1 adult and 4 children (10-15y/o) and was #friendly and #playful with all the children😀. Ivy was said to be closer with the 10 year old child, allowing him to hug her and kiss her😘. She is friendly and #outgoing with strangers allowing them to pet her💓. NO bite history. Ivy will play tug when a toy, treat or object is taken away from her😊. Owner never took her food dish away. Described as friendly, #mellow , and #anxious dog. When at home, Ivy likes to lay near her bed. Ivy likes to play with tennis balls and likes to play tug😍. Ivy was kept as an indoors ONLY DOG and was free-fed Pedigree dry food. Ivy is house trained and usually goes potty outside on the grass. Ivy was taken out for #slow walks on the leash twice a day at 5am and 7pm every day😄. Well #behaved when left home alone.
