Half the time most are ok with going below 90 when squatting light but depth gets higher & higher as the weight gets heavier ! Use a guideline similar to what we're using or a low box to ensure you're hitting that depth & recruiting the right muscles on your way out the hole 💪😎

This coming weekend is the USAPL Cyclone Classic powerlifting meet in Ames. I signed up to lift in it back in Sept. Unfortunately, due to an injury, I am withdrawing from the meet.
I'm posting this not for sympathy or that it is a big deal, but rather as an example that sometimes the best laid plans fail and we need to be aware to recognize and pivot when they do go south.
Being laser-focused can be a huge attribute but it can also be become a hindrance if it leads you to a point that is not positive. In my case here, I could have went ahead and lifted at the meet, risking a more severe injury.
