The power of peppermint: 'tis the season of colds and snuffy noses but a natural way of getting a more peaceful nights sleep is to put a few drops of peppermint oil on a tissue and place between your pillow and pillow case or put a few drops on your pjs, it will last longer than applying direct to your skin. Peppermint oil helps clear the respiratory tract and helps you to breathe more easily. Sleep well everyone 😴
A suitable idea for an evening post!
Getting enough sleep is one of the biggest ways that we can practice self-care, because it affects so many aspects of our lives. If we do not get enough sleep, it can negatively impact health including weight loss, productivity, relationships - basically everything!! But for many of us, sleep is elusive and doesn't happen. One of the best ways to get enough sleep that works for me, is routine. I finish working on an evening at the same time, then I spend a little time tidying the house, getting ready for the morning, and having a bath/quick shower. Then I read and sleep. Apparently, this works because once you do this on a regular basis, your body starts to remember and produces melatonin in preparation for sleeping.
So make a little bedtime routine your #take10 for the day - it will make a huge difference for you tomorrow!
This has been a test on our sanity, strength, resolve, whatever.
Our little boy went into hospital just under a week ago, very ill. A virus turned to infection which resulted in damage to his kidneys.
Fortunately the good doctors and staff at #bristolchildrenshospital worked hard to get him better asap.
Now I’m sat on his bedroom floor with him holding my hand as he sleeps, home.
Been a very trying month or so for me and my family. Time for things to get back to normality. Got to thank friends and family for support, help and love.
This is our beloved member Phil. Phil has just come back to training since having a child late last year. Phil himself did not give birth to the child let me make that clear. If he did we would be making a bigger deal about that. But due to a lack of sleep and returning to work we haven’t seen Phil in about 6 weeks, so he foolishly planned his return session on this brutal foxtrot Monday. Silly move Phil but great to have you back! #dadlife#nodadbodhere#f45adelaidecbdwest#sleepwelltonight
