When we invite novel practices into our lives, we must first begin by training the mind away from its natural tendencies, away from it’s automatic pilot way of doing things. We are in constant exchange with others and the environment around us. In this consistent exchange with everything that is around us we participate in giving and receiving. Often times this exchange goes unnoticed, without intention, and happens automatically. As part of intentional living, we bring awareness to all actions and perform all actions with intention. We invite intention into the act of giving and the act of receiving. During an exchange with another, we maintain eye contact and communicate ‘I give this with love’, during the act of giving we communicate ‘I receive this with love’. This intention can be said out loud or silently. When we invite this way of living we become more conscious of our energetic exchanges, and infuse all that we share, give and receive with love. May you share, give and receive in love 🙏🏽
