So inspired by all the pics on Instagram of fierce women coming together to make waves this weekend at marches around the country. It got me thinking about my amazing high school english teacher who made sure we all knew what a feminist was—someone who believes in political, economic, and social equality for the sexes—and what a feminist wasn't—someone who hates men/anyone who identifies as male. A handful of students at my high school criticized this teacher behind her back for her strong views and annual lecture on why we all need to be feminists. I loved her for it. ⠀
May we keep the momentum of this movement going strong throughout 2018 and make sure we're being inclusive of all women everywhere. Let's show up and support each other in ways big and small—even when it's hard. Even when it makes other people uncomfortable. 💕⠀
FAST FOCUS| Sometimes you just have to help yourself refocus.
Sometimes the decision has to be made to put aside distraction and put clarity and purpose first.
Sometimes the only way to hear which way to go is to silence all other noise.
That is what fasting does.
I’ve been fasting this month but it’s time to take it up a notch. Fasting doesn’t change God, it changes us and all for the better. Read my post ´Fast Focus’ to understand a little more about fasting and it’s true benefits ❤️
#thewomandoctor | SO THANKFUL! Today The Woman Doctor (U)niversity held its first meeting!! Words cannot explain how thankful I am that God saw fit to bless me with so many amazing women! When I was given the vision in 2017 I didn’t question it, I simply said “ok God”...I have a passion and a genuine love for the betterment of women, and as long as I am able I will continue to do every single thing I can to encourage, educate, support, and love every woman I encounter! So here’s to the 2018 cohort of The Woman Doctor (U)niversity!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Last year I decided to start counting my blessings. I purposely chose a large mason jar because I knew God could bless me more than what could fill a smaller jar. There's absolutely nothing wrong with choosing a smaller jar, I just always have big expectations. I expected big blessings and God delivered big blessings. A ton of them to be exact.
Yesterday I received my first blessing of 2018 and I'm stuck trying to decide do I empty out this jar and start over, do I buy another jar...possibly larger if it exists, or should I just buy a waste can and expect an overflow of blessings for this year. 🤔
What would you do?
I haven't quite decided yet, but I'll figure it out by the end of the week. In the meantime I'll continue to prayer the prayer of Jabez. 1 Chronicles 4:10
