Happy Days and Banana Ways🍌
Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand
The parks provide sanctuary for rescued elephants and operate under a business model in which tourists pay to visit and help care for the animals, and can stay for extended periods. All of the elephants were rescued from street performing, logging, poaching acts, and tourism activities. During these times the elephants would take years of abuse to train them to perform in such unatural ways.
Here at Elephant Nature Park you can help feed, bath, and love the elephants while walking through their home as they pick through the leaves and fruit hanging on nearby trees. This park has also rescued over 400 dogs and cats during the 2004 tsnuami, which Thailand is still recovering from to this day.
