I'm an actor as well as a yoga teacher, and I've been asked to bring something to class tonight that means a lot to me, something I'd be heartbroken if I lost.
I've really struggled to think of something, which is quite surprising because I am pretty good* at keeping things. I am also pretty good at losing things, so along the way things that have meant a lot to me have gone to the room of lost objects.
There are many objects I know I could lose and be really sad about, but really, it doesn't matter, because all of the associations that go with that object, the joy, the humour, the love, the generosity are all in my mind ready whenever I need it.
I think I've just learnt a really valuable lesson. So here's me. Not needing any objects. Fluffy socks and food are always great though. *read as, I am quite a hoarder.
Not every day I feel like I can do dancer with both hands, but every day I do this dancer variation just because I like it, it feels very stretchy but not hard, and often even if I initially didn't want to do a dancer with both hands, after this pose I want to do)
