Holy shit, it's moving!
Released just over a year ago. Coffee lovers is one of my most popular pieces of all time. It was actually in January of last year that I decided I would be the make model in this piece.
I found a cool program that allowed me to animate it.
And for those that are interested I have prints available on my website Helozcreativearts.com

What toys did you get under your tree this year?
Kara came back to visit last week. Obviously, we had to do #art while she was here. Originally I was thinking to just black out her body and create the #Rubixcube illusion but as I was painting that idea seemed less interesting to me. In the middle of the painting, I came up with the idea to give the painting a touch of the 80's. The era in which the popularity of the Rubix cube took off. Complete with #80 's #rockmakeup , #multi -coloredhair, blacked out tears and colorful splatter patterns
"True love doesn't hurt"
On Friday I attended an event for Domestic Violence Awareness. I had some art that I donated to the event, but, there was one piece I created specifically for this night.
A few months ago my friend Fernando Palacios lost his cousin through a selfish act of violence. He reached out to me to help him in designing a tattoo in memory of her. This piece was conceptualized by Fernando. What he asked for was a broken heart to symbolize the broken hearts of those that loved her. A hibiscus flower to represent her ( it was a tattoo she had on her neck) growing out of the heart. A purple ribbon to represent domestic violence awareness. A teardrop and birds flying away.
As I sat and sketched out this concept it came to me that he might appreciate this image as an art piece that could be hung on a wall. It was then that I asked him if he would like to have this image created as a body painting.
In love with the idea, Fernando gathered 3 of his cousins. The four of them came to me allowed themselves to get painted to create this image in the name and memory of their cousin Ivelis.
This is the final image.
This is one of those pieces that just developed from a different idea as I was painting. Once I saw a picture of this bird and it's flowery mohawk, I couldn't resist but to make it the subject of my painting. The perfect mix of bad ass and cute. Here it is with the description I found online:
The white-cheeked turaco, native to the Horn of Africa, is another popular house pet. Turaco chicks sport an unusual feature: Claws on the ends of their wings. They are vestiges of its ancient ancestor Archaeopteryx, the last feathered dinosaur or the first modern bird, depending on whom you ask!
